Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in Everett, WA is seeking a Chemical Technician to support wastewater treatment operations on the 1st shift. You will monitor equipment, calibrate probes, and ensure compliance with hazardous waste handling procedures.

This full-time, hourly role requires basic math, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong attention to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED.
• Basic mathematic skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment, gauges, and charts in the treatment plant and pump stations; replace equipment when necessary.
• Operate, maintain and repair malfunctions at the wastewater treatment plant.
• Calibrate, clean and ensure proper function of pH and ORP probes and controllers.
• Clean wet wells and operate pumps and valves to control flow.
• Setup hazardous waste cubic yard storage containers with proper labeling.
• Inspect facility where hazardous waste is stored and evaluate compliance; track accumulation dates.
