Abbyland Foods, Inc. is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to manage purification processes at the Wisconsin facility. The role emphasizes ensuring removal of harmful organisms, solids and toxins while complying with regulations.

You will operate, monitor, and maintain the treatment system, conduct sampling and testing, coordinate with the Plant Manager, and respond to emergencies and weekend checks. Safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of State and Federal rules governing wastewater discharges and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the wastewater treatment facility and its processes.
• Work involves responsibility for the technical aspects of the plant operations, compliance with state and federal operating regulations.
• Work is performed with considerable independence under the direction of the Plant Manager.
• Perform sampling, monitoring and testing to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local Regulations.
• Install, maintain and repair the physical plant and pumping stations and all components.
• Assist in regular and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.
• Be on call to respond to emergencies and breakdowns at the plant and pumping stations.
• Conduct weekend checks of the treatment plant on a rotating basis.
• Perform all work in conformance to Occupational Safety and Health Act regulations.
• Maintain open communications with the Plant Manager regarding the treatment process and pumping stations operations and malfunctions, and make recommendations for repairs and improvements.
• Perform daily checks of the wastewater treatment process and periodic checks of pumping stations.
