Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking an operator to provide operation and maintenance support for the wastewater treatment plant. You will work under a moderate degree of supervision, following SOPs and safety/environmental regulations.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, monitoring conditions, performing daily analyses, recording data, and coordinating with supervisors and vendors to ensure continuous, compliant plant operation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of wastewater treatment systems.
• General microbiological and chemistry skills.
• General maintenance skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and company systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and monitor operating conditions, meters and gauges.
• Record data and readings on specified forms as required.
• Perform COD, TSS and other analyses; adjust operations accordingly.
• Advise supervisor of concerns and implement changes.
• Assist with maintenance, repair and lubrication of equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and ensure readiness of equipment.
• Follow GMPs, safety and sanitation requirements.
