Job summary

The City of Aurora, CO is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator to support Aurora Water’s treatment facilities. The role includes monitoring water quality, operating plant equipment, and preparing routine reports.

Two levels are offered (Operator B and Operator A) with certification paths. This is an on-site position with competitive pay and benefits; application deadline October 18, 2026.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Colorado driver license with good driving history.
• Wastewater Treatment Operator B/A certifications required/obtainable as specified.

Responsibilities

• Ensure treated water quality meets all standards.
• Monitor flows; adjust pumping rates as needed.
• Conduct quality tests on raw and treated water.
• Maintain, inspect, and repair plant equipment.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly performance reports.
