Job summary

Wind River Environmental, LLC is seeking a field-ready operator to oversee disposal acceptance of sewage and FOG waste and to maintain logs for septic and wastewater processing. The role emphasizes safety, independent work, and precise operation of receiving and headworks equipment.

The position pays approximately $24.00–$27.00 per hour, with final compensation based on location, education, experience, and skills. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass required screenings are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass drug screen, medical certification, physical exam and road exams.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
• Must be able to meet physical demands evaluation.
• High-School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work with safety and compliance top of mind.
• Operate equipment associated with receiving, headworks etc.
• Maintain detailed operational logs.
• Monitor equipment for potential failures and may perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks like cleaning and lubrication of equipment and report issues to maintenance staff.
• Calibrate and document process instrumentation such as Conductivity, pH, Temp and other meters.
• Collect samples for testing and processing disposal tickets.
• Hook up and unload tractor trailers and pump trucks and conduct necessary sampling and testing.
• Record daily plant process parameters and discharge volumes for lab testing.
• Perform other related duties as required.
