You will read blueprints, perform skilled electrical work, analyze failures, and supervise safety and quality on site.

The role requires travel to client sites, valid electrician certification, and the ability to work varied shifts. Travel and safety compliance are essential to the position.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with electrical/mechanical maintenance and repair of utilities or industrial equipment.
• Experience using a CMMS.
• Possess a valid electrician certification.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with no major infractions
• Experience with a Health & Safety program
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, shift work and on call duty as required
• High school diploma or GED
• Water operator certification within 3 years of hire
• Some trade school education with an emphasis on electrical and mechanical equipment
• Five years of experience with knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook; data entry into a CMMS
• Knowledge of control systems including DCS; PLC; HMI; IO networks; servers and drives

Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of specialized mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications, and mechanical illustrations.
• Perform skilled electrical repair work on water/wastewater treatment plant equipment and related equipment.
• Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and to prevent recurrences.
• Assist project with recordkeeping and prepares routine and special reports.
• Provide on-the-job training to less experienced employees.
• Perform preventive and corrective and predictive maintenance on mechanical and electrical machinery or equipment.
• Regularly inspect the working condition and maintains the cleanliness of equipment and surrounding areas.
• Assist with review of capital improvement project studies, designs, and contract drawings.
• Forecast material and equipment needs and performs other duties as required.
• Ensure all appropriate H&S practices are consistently being followed on every task.
• Any other duties as assigned
