Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Wastewater Operator II in Oklahoma City to support the operation and maintenance of municipal wastewater facilities. You will monitor, control, and optimize treatment processes, train junior staff, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

A valid Oklahoma Level C license and willingness to travel on occasion are required. The role requires a strong focus on reliability, data accuracy, and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a wastewater treatment facility.
• Follows sound safety principles and practices.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with clean record.
• Proficient with computer operations including spreadsheets and word processing.
• Willingness to work weekends, shifts, and on-call duties.
• High school diploma or GED; preferred Level C license in OK.

Responsibilities

• Operates treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water and wastewater.
• Monitors gauges, meters and control panels; reads data accurately.
• Trains junior Operations staff.
• Directs operation and minor maintenance of plant.
• Maintains shift log and records meter readings.
• Collects samples and performs routine laboratory tests.
