Job summary

The City of Sand Springs is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, repair, and service wastewater distribution facilities under general supervision. You will assist with installation and repair of wastewater lines, join pipelines, maintain lift stations, and coordinate safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain a Class D wastewater operator license within 6 months, with CDL within 1 year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Within 6 months of hire: Class D Wastewater Operator certification.
• Within 1 year of hire: Class B CDL or higher.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and service wastewater distribution facilities.
• Assist with installation and repair of wastewater lines and mains.
• Assist with joining pipelines and valves; rodding sewer lines.
• Maintain lift stations and process safety procedures.
• Assist in inventory control and reporting of work progress.
• Notify customers when work affects service.
