Colorado Springs Utilities is hiring a Utility Worker II to support the Lift Station Maintenance team, focusing on inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting wastewater collection systems. The role requires overtime, weekend, holiday, and 24-hour callout duties as needed.

The starting pay rate is $28.42/hr, increasing to $29.84/hr after a six-month probation, with an emphasis on safe work and reliability.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in wastewater or manual labor environments.
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Basic computer skills (time entry, email, Teams).
• Ability to use hand tools and operate equipment and vehicles.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater manhole and valve box adjustment equipment.
• Maintain and repair wastewater gravity pipelines and force mains.
• Assist with pumping, flushing, and transporting equipment.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot system pressure.
• Inspect and maintain underground wastewater tanks and pipelines.
• Repair and troubleshoot wastewater systems and pipelines.
• Learn calibration and operation of equipment.
