Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is seeking a Wastewater Technician to operate, maintain, monitor and adjust wastewater treatment plants to ensure compliance with state, federal and local laws.

The role includes the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 4:00pm–2:30am) with overtime as required, performing preventive maintenance, laboratory testing, process control, and reporting; coordinating with Maintenance for repairs; and contributing to regulatory compliance and safe plant

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Wastewater Operator's license preferred but not required.
• Valid non-commercial vehicle operator's license required.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety rules and regulations.
• Perform administrative tasks and maintain records.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve problems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on wastewater treatment equipment.
• Generate and review operating/regulatory reports.
• Update Standard Operating Procedures for plant operations.
• Perform laboratory testing and analyze samples.
• Maintain process control systems and instrumentation.
• Coordinate maintenance with other departments.
• Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
