Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment. The role involves repairing conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pumps, with a strong focus on safety and efficient problem solving.

Applicants should have 1–2 years in industrial maintenance, experience reading drawings, and a working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems; welding is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years industrial maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of standard and metric measurement.
  • Welding experience (MIG/TIG) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform building maintenance and repair tasks on conveyors, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot machinery quickly and effectively.
  • Maintain wastewater equipment such as conveyors, gearboxes, augers, and pumps.
  • Ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Document site-specific operating procedures for technologies in use at the facility.
  • Inspect, lubricate, change fluids, and test equipment to prevent failures.
  • Coordinate with wastewater management to diagnose problems.
