Job summary

The City of Englewood is seeking an engineer to join SPR Engineering Team to perform a range of entry‑level engineering activities for planning, design, construction, and optimization of wastewater facilities. Reports to Engineering Supervisor and collaborates across teams.

You will help collect and analyze wastewater samples, prepare technical documents, and support project coordination and data interpretation to drive improvements in treatment processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, chemical, or environmental engineering.
• Engineer Intern (EI) certification or ability to acquire within six months of start date.
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment and fieldwork.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic engineering calculations, analysis, and modeling.
• Reviews existing drawings, plans, and specifications for new facilities and construction.
• Inspects and tracks construction projects and coordinates activities as needed.
• Assists in the collection and analysis of wastewater samples for pilot research and optimization.
• Prepares presentations, memoranda, reports, and specifications.
