Job summary

City of Englewood is seeking an engineer to join SPR Engineering Team to support planning, research, design, construction, and optimization of wastewater facilities. Reports to the Engineering Supervisor and offers entry-level engineering activities within SPR’s Engineering Division.

The role involves basic engineering calculations, data analysis, and coordination of construction activities, with emphasis on collaboration, communication, and continuous learning in a dynamic public sector

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, chemical, or environmental engineering
• Engineer Intern certification or ability to acquire within six months
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment

Responsibilities

• Perform portions of complex engineering assignments under the direction of more experienced staff.
• Collect, analyzes, and makes recommendations concerning technical engineering data.
• Perform basic engineering calculations, analysis, and modeling.
• Review drawings, plans, and specifications for new facilities and construction.
• Inspect and track construction projects and coordinate activities.
• Assist in the collection and analysis of wastewater samples for pilot research and optimization.
• Prepare presentations, memoranda, reports, and specifications.
