Job summary

City of Largo is seeking a skilled supervisor to oversee the daily operation and maintenance of the Wastewater Reclamation Facility (WWRF). This technical leadership role reports to the Utilities Director and coordinates with the Chief Plant Operator to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient plant performance.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of related experience, with a Florida Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of directly related experience in Operational, Engineering, or Utilities Management
• Five (5) years of supervisory responsibility in plant operation and maintenance preferred
• Possession of a Florida Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator license or out-of-state equivalent preferred
• Municipal experience preferred
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance, operation, and process control of the WWRF.
• Supervise maintenance, operations, and personnel with the Chief Plant Operator.
• Coordinate with the Utilities Director to align with strategic plans.
• Prepare clear KPI reports and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with DEP regulations and facility permits.
