The City of Toledo is seeking a Water Reclamation Operator to work on an assigned shift operating pumps, valves, engines and treatment processes in the Water Reclamation Plant.

You will monitor instrumentation, collect samples, perform routine maintenance, document logs, and respond to alarms while ensuring safe, compliant operation of the plant. You will also assist in maintenance tasks and support other operators as needed.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities.
• Hazards and safety precautions in wastewater work.
• Operation of computerized process control equipment.
• Basic chemistry, math and hydraulics.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and maintain records.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and adjust instrumentation systems for activated sludge, lift stations and related functions.
• Start and regulate motors, pumps, valves and samplers to control flow of sewage and chemicals.
• Control chemical dosing and adjust valves and tanks as needed.
• Read meters, charts and gauges; respond to alarms and troubleshoot deficiencies.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections; keep logs and records up to date.
• Load, unload, and operate equipment such as cranes or forklifts as required.
• Collect samples and conduct analyses (pH, DO, chlorine, temp) and document results.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operating procedures on all shifts.
