Job summary

Village of Pleasant Hill is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Class I Wastewater Operator who will also serve as Street Superintendent. The role covers daily operation and maintenance of the wastewater plant, collection system, streets, stormwater, and other public works tasks.

Responsibilities include lab testing, record keeping, emergency response, and coordinating with contractors. A valid Ohio Class I license and driver’s license are required; wage is commensurate with qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Ohio driver's license.
• Valid Ohio Class I Wastewater Operator License.
• Ability to read maps, blueprints and technical manuals.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
• Preferred: experience operating a wastewater plant and collection system.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant per Ohio EPA rules.
• Collect wastewater samples and perform lab testing.
• Maintain records and submit reports to Ohio EPA.
• Inspect lift stations and maintain the sewer collection system.
• Coordinate repairs with contractors and perform preventive maintenance.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and assist in public works.
