Job summary

KanPak is seeking a Wastewater Technician at its Penn Yan, NY facility. The role involves operating and maintaining the pre-treatment plant, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting production schedules.

The candidate will monitor processes, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate with the production team to meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include sampling, chemical management, maintenance, and documentation across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in pre-treatment or wastewater operations preferred.
• Six months to one year of food industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, adjust, and troubleshoot the pre-treatment plant and its processes to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Coordinate activities to meet quality, food safety, regulatory, safety, and production objectives.
• Perform sampling, monitoring, and testing to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a clean and organized Pre-Treatment plant.
• Schedule and coordinate chemical usage and sludge/haul-offs.
• Monitor SCADA/HMI dashboards and adjust chemical setpoints as required.
