Job summary

Golden State Foods seeks a Pre-Treatment Wastewater Technician for our KanPak facility in Penn Yan, NY. The role requires flexibility for weekends and overtime, with a 2nd shift schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and first-week training on the 1st shift.

You will operate, monitor, and maintain the pre-treatment plant, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and quality standards while supporting production needs and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months to one year of food industry experience preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in pre-treatment or wastewater plant operations preferred.
• Must be flexible with work hours.
• Proven reliability and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, adjust and troubleshoot the pre-treatment plant and processes.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Coordinate quality activities and operations to meet objectives for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform sampling, monitoring, and testing to maintain compliance.
• Monitor SCADA/HMI dashboards and adjust chemical setpoints as required.
• Complete shift reports and communicate production schedules to teams.
• Maintain a clean and organized pre-treatment plant.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities.
