Job summary

WesTech is seeking a Water/Wastewater Operations Technician to join our Mont Belvieu, Texas team. You will oversee daily plant operations, perform sampling, monitor controls, and maintain equipment to ensure safe, compliant water treatment.

Responsibilities include calibrating pumps, testing water samples, logging data, and coordinating with the team to meet performance goals while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Education: Highschool Diploma or GED.
• 5 years of water/wastewater experience, including 1-3 years in the field.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong communication to maintain client relations.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe).

Responsibilities

• Conduct water sample testing to analyze plant performance.
• Maintain records and logs of all plant activities.
• Calibrate pumps, drive units, and valves for operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Monitor and adjust treatment processes (pH, turbidity, TSS, TOC).
• Communicate malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
