City and County of Honolulu is seeking Wastewater Plant Maintenance Mechanics to service facilities in Honolulu, Ewa Beach, and Kailua. The role focuses on maintaining essential wastewater systems, performing major repairs, and installing piping and equipment for water and sludge handling.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with pumping stations and treatment plants, knowledge of hydraulics and electrical basics, and the ability to work in challenging environments.

Formación

• Experience with operation, maintenance and repair of large pumping or treatment plant equipment.
• Knowledge of machinery used in sewage pumping stations and treatment plants.
• Familiarity with elementary electricity and hydraulics.

Responsabilidades

• Perform overhaul and repair work on equipment at wastewater facilities and pumping stations.
• Install and repair piping systems, valves, and fittings for water and wastewater systems.
• Operate mobile and portable equipment for emergencies and repairs (air compressors, generators, welders).
• Make repairs or renovations to buildings and structures as needed.
• Install, align, test, and calibrate new equipment.
• Respond to on-call emergencies as required.
