The position requires a high school diploma with 4 years of certified wastewater operator experience, with preferred science-related education and supervisory background. A Florida license and SCBA readiness are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 4 years as a certified wastewater plant operator.
• Associates degree in science-related field preferred or 2 years college-level coursework in science-related field.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• 2 years of experience in mechanical repair of wastewater equipment (pumps, motors, valves).

Responsibilities

• Supervise operation and routine maintenance of a Class B or smaller wastewater treatment plant facility.
• Oversee daily activities of Treatment Plant Operator/Mechanics staff.
• Compile required records and reports for regulatory compliance.
• Provide general supervision to Treatment Plant Operator/Mechanics and other staff.
