Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an experienced Plant Operations Supervisor to oversee daily plant activities, supervise operators and shift crews, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The role involves coordinating with engineering, contracting teams, and commercial groups to maintain efficient operations.

The position requires a NYS 3A wastewater certification, strong data interpretation skills, and the ability to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; bachelor's degree (or equivalent) preferred.
• 5+ years in plant operations.
• Experience with maintenance systems and project contracts in water/wastewater is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations and staff; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering and contractors on projects.
• Monitor performance data and lead corrective actions when needed.
• Lead shift crews and manage staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
• Review operation worksheets and data entry for accuracy.
