Job summary

The Kinetic Group seeks an Operator for our wastewater treatment plant in Anoka, MN. You will operate the plant, perform testing, adjust chemical dosing and flow, and ensure discharge compliance under supervision.

You’ll maintain logs, conduct maintenance, manage chemicals, and follow safety regulations while supporting cross-functional environmental tasks. This role requires flexibility and a proactive, self-directed approach.

Qualifications

• Two-year post-secondary degree or related field.
• Water/Wastewater license issued by the Department of Health.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• HazWOPER 24-hour certification.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate the wastewater treatment plant by analyzing indicators and adjusting chemical additives and flow rates.
• Maintain the daily operation logs and required testing/records.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment.
• Manage inventory of treatment chemicals and spare parts.
• Observe safety rules and report hazards or unsafe conditions.
