Job summary

Federal Ammunition in Anoka, MN is seeking an Operator for our wastewater treatment plant. You will operate the facility, manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and ensure compliance with permits.

This role reports to the Environmental Compliance Supervisor and supports cross-functional environmental tasks. You will maintain logs, perform testing, and handle preventive maintenance while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• 2 year post-secondary degree in Water Environmental Technologies, Environmental Sciences, or related field
• Water or wastewater licenses issued by the Department of Health
• HazWOPER 24 hour certification (can be obtained)

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater treatment plant through analytical testing and adjust chemical additives and flow rates
• Perform cross-functional Environmental Department tasks as directed by EHS Supervisor/Manager
• Maintain daily operation log and required testing/records
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on equipment
• Maintain inventory of treatment chemicals, spare parts, and equipment
• Adhere to safety rules and report hazards
