Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• ADEQ Grade 1 Wastewater Operator certification within 6 months of hire.
• ADEQ Grade 2 Wastewater Operator certification by time of hire for Operator II.
• Confined space entry certification within 6 months of hire.
• Valid Arizona driver license.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes plant-wide using SCADA and manual controls.
• Perform lab testing and analysis for biological treatment, chemical dosing, and disinfection.
• Complete routine plant and equipment maintenance and support to maintenance staff.
• Maintain accurate operation records—log books, lab reports, inspection reports, and daily rounds.
• Build knowledge of treatment plant operations, reuse distribution, and wastewater collection systems.
