Job summary

Nestlé Health Science is seeking a Wastewater Operator to operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the wastewater treatment facility in Savannah, GA. The role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience and an active wastewater license, with responsibilities including compliance testing, equipment maintenance, and public-facing duties when the Chief Operator is absent.

The position follows a Sunday–Tuesday 7a–7:30p, Wednesday 7a-1p schedule, with potential shift variations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating and maintaining wastewater equipment.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active Wastewater Operator License or Industrial Waste Water Operator License from GA or reciprocal.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in warm, dusty, perhaps cool, and noisy environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling, monitoring and testing to maintain compliance with regulations.
• Assist with installation and inspection of new sewer lines and services.
• Maintain and repair plant equipment and pump stations.
• Act as department’s representative to the public when Chief Operator is absent.
• Be on-call for emergencies and weekend checks.
• Follow OSHA regulations and ensure safety.
• Communicate treatment process status and recommend improvements.
