Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a lead for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations to supervise daily activities and maintain safety and regulatory compliance. You will oversee both plant and UV disinfection systems, coordinate with maintenance and field staff, and provide data-driven reporting and budgeting support.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, deep wastewater process knowledge and experience with SCADA/OT systems. Travel and on-site leadership across facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Five years experience in wastewater treatment plant operations/maintenance.
• Experience with UV disinfection, Trojan 4000/6000 systems and SCADA/OT.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage operation, maintenance and repair of the wastewater facility.
• Develop division goals, work plans, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure regulatory compliance and safety policies.
• Monitor UV disinfection and ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Coordinate response to emergencies and oversee preventive maintenance program.
• Attend meetings with outside agencies and provide technical assistance as needed.
• Prepare monthly flow reports and written correspondence.
• Enforce safety measures and ensure staff and contractors work safely.
• Direct and evaluate work of operational and maintenance teams.
• Assist in budgeting and procurement processes; manage asset evaluation.
