Job summary

The Town of Holly Springs is seeking a WRF Mechanic/Operator I/II/III to support the Utilities & Infrastructure department. This maintenance-focused role handles pumps, UV systems, and process instrumentation to ensure compliant wastewater treatment. The work requires EPA guideline adherence and accurate data logging.

The position offers a day shift with occasional on-call 12-hour shifts. The starting annual salary range is $55,931.14 to $62,855.95 (Grades G/H/I).>

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous work experience in wastewater maintenance and operations.
• Level 1 Biological Wastewater Certification Grade 1

Responsibilities

• Collects wastewater compliance samples in accordance with EPA guidelines.
• Monitors wastewater treatment process and records data to understand trends.
• Operates pumps, motors, blowers, and other equipment throughout the plant.
• Maintains safety and regulatory compliance; follows all safety procedures.
• Provides backup assistance and on-call support for emergencies.
