Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Key West, FL, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the City of Key West Wastewater treatment plant and collection facilities.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, and rotating equipment to ensure reliable operation and regulatory compliance. This role requires travel to client sites, a valid driver's license, and a safety-first approach.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license and driving record.
• Experience with mechanical maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, machinery, buildings, and treatment plant equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and rotating equipment.
• Replace bearings, seals, packing, and other mechanical components.
• Install and commission new equipment and assist with system upgrades.
• Perform plumbing, pipefitting, welding, cutting, and fabrication activities as required.
• Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Support facility housekeeping, painting, and general maintenance activities.
• Follow all Jacobs and client safety requirements.
