Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a reliable Wastewater Maintenance Technician to join the team at Brownstown, MI. You will read blueprints, repair wastewater plant equipment, and maintain electrical and electro-mechanical control systems.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety, and teamwork to ensure uninterrupted municipal services. Key responsibilities include inspecting and repairing electrical systems, installing new equipment, and maintaining CMMS records.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance.
• Valid State Driver's License with no major infractions.
• High School Diploma or GED; trade school experience preferred.
• OSHA electrical safety knowledge and CWEA/MWEA Level 1 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair electrical systems, controls, meters, outlets and panels.
• Install equipment and interpret wiring diagrams and codes.
• Maintain scheduled electrical maintenance program for plant equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical machinery.
