Job summary

My3Tech in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Microbiologist responsible for coordinating and performing SARS-CoV-2 testing of wastewater samples and other public health targets in water samples. You will conduct concentration, RNA extraction, and PCR testing; maintain records, interpret results, and report findings; ensure QC, safety, and regulatory compliance.

This on-site role requires a 4-year biology degree and experience with RNA/DNA extraction and qPCR; strong communication and documentation

Qualifications

• Four-year degree (BS or BA) in biological science.
• Experience performing RNA/DNA extraction and PCR testing.
• Knowledge of molecular testing methods and lab safety standards.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing the program area.

Responsibilities

• Concentrate wastewater samples and perform RNA extraction and PCR testing.
• Maintain laboratory records and report results.
• Evaluate and interpret results; ensure QC and regulatory compliance.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and QC checks on methods and equipment.
• Assist in preparing reports and evaluating new products for lab use.
• Participate in proficiency testing programs.
