Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Wastewater Operator Trainee to work at the Beaver Falls wastewater system. You will report to the Plant Supervisor and assist with safe, efficient plant operations while supporting compliance, maintenance, and reporting. Preferred qualifications include 1 year of wastewater operations experience, DEP exam readiness, strong math and communication skills, and a valid U.S.

driver’s license. Must be able to lift 75 lbs and pass required assessments.

Qualifications

• 1 year of wastewater operations experience preferred.
• Passing the DEP subclass 2 & 4 along with the general exam is a requirement of employment. Time will be allotted per union contract that dictates the window for achieving this requirement
• Strong math, communication, and computer skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and pass required assessments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant equipment and processes.
• Monitor effluent quality and make operational performance adjustments.
• Perform lab sampling, testing, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records and reports for regulatory compliance.
• Ensure safety protocols and plant security are followed.
