Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Wastewater Operator II to operate and maintain equipment at small to medium water and wastewater facilities in Oklahoma City. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of water/wastewater experience, with a CDL preferred and a state/site license.

You will perform testing, monitoring, and maintenance, document data, and respond to emergencies while keeping customer service and safety a priority.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of water/wastewater experience.
• Licenses/Certificates: Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred). Water/Wastewater Operator’s License specific to state and site requirements.
• Technical: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet applications; working knowledge of electrical components.
• Communication: Clear, professional communication; supports positive customer experience.
• Problem Solving & Quality: Pays attention to detail; identifies and solves problems; supports quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment and machinery, including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, and vehicles.
• Conduct routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance of production wells and water/wastewater facilities.
• Record daily flow, chemical usage, and related data; document treatment processes and maintenance activities.
• Respond to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
• Provide customer service functions as needed and communicate with clients about routine technical aspects of operations.
• Ensure security and cleanliness of treatment plant facilities and grounds; coordinate maintenance activities within the facility.
