Job summary

Inframark is hiring an entry-level Wastewater Operator I in Oklahoma to operate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities. No license required initially, but a D Wastewater Operator license must be obtained within one year.

You will handle routine testing, equipment maintenance, and documentation of plant performance. The role includes after-hours callouts and on-site customer service, with a 4:30 AM–3:00 PM Sunday–Wednesday shift.

Qualifications

• Willingness to study required material and obtain water/wastewater certification.
• Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices.
• Ability to perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs of treatment equipment.
• Knowledge of regulatory rules.
• Previous water or wastewater treatment experience desirable.
• Completion of water or wastewater correspondence courses desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of equipment/machinery including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, vehicles, etc.
• Conducts routine testing, monitoring and maintenance of production wells, water/wastewater unit processes and basic laboratory analyses.
• Performs and documents treatment process and maintenance of treatment facility equipment; documents plant performance including daily flow, electrical and chemical usage and dosage.
• Responds to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, instrumentation and electrical support.
• Ensures facilities are clean, neat and secure.
• Provides customer service functions when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Shift is 10 hours, 4:30AM to 3:00PM Sunday through Wednesday.
