Job summary

The City of Caldwell Wastewater Department is seeking a Wastewater Operator II to join its team. The incumbent will operate, maintain and repair wastewater treatment equipment at facilities, cross-train with collection system operators, and work under supervision to ensure efficient plant operation and compliant processing of sewage.

Requires a Class II Wastewater Treatment License and a minimum of two years of operator experience.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of training or experience in wastewater operations.
• Possession of a Class II Wastewater Treatment License (ID).
• Ability to operate and assist in plant equipment and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems.
• Cross-train with collection system operators and provide support.
• Document findings and monitor SCADA and alarms.
• Perform routine lab tests and calibrate gauges and meters.
• Work on a 4-day workweek with 10-hour days; Sat/Sun required.
