Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Wastewater Operator to manage water flows and plant processes, operating evaporators, skimmers, DAF, and disinfection systems while supporting maintenance and project work.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with at least 1 year of experience in rendering or production, and a willingness to obtain a wastewater certificate. Math skills and clear communication are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1-year prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment.
• Willing to obtain wastewater certificate.

Responsibilities

• Proper operation of evaporator and skimmer.
• Chemical inventory and addition throughout wastewater processes.
• Perform wastewater tests as needed.
• Operate DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) system.
• Monitor and control flows in wastewater treatment processes.
• Daily clean foot valves and flow meters at pump stations.
• Monitor MBBRs and aerators/mixers.
• Support maintenance with projects in the area of responsibility.
• Operate disinfection systems and scrubbers.
• Operate cooling towers and related equipment.
