Job summary

The City of Tolleson is seeking a Wastewater Operator I/Semi Truck Trailer Driver to join our Public Works team. You will transport biosolids, perform inspections, samples, and maintain equipment under supervision.

Entry-level position with opportunity to learn operations, lab testing, data recording, and safety procedures. A High School diploma and a valid Arizona CDL are required; ADEQ Grade 1 certification preferred and may be obtained within one year.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Arizona CDL Driver's license.
• ADEQ Operator certifications preferred; Grade 1 within 1 year.
• Ability to obtain Grade 1 within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Load biosolids and transport to disposal site.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wastewater treatment equipment.
• Conduct field inspections and collect wastewater samples.
• Perform lab testing and recordkeeping.
• Operate heavy equipment and manage biosolids.
