Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator to operate, monitor and maintain essential water and wastewater systems that support plant operations and environmental compliance.

You will collect samples, analyze data, and ensure regulatory requirements are met while maintaining logs and reports. The role requires basic computer skills, strong communication, and mechanical/electrical know‑how, with travel minimal and a 2nd shift in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years of wastewater experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic organizational, mechanical, and electrical wiring skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment systems to support plant operations and environmental compliance.
• Collect samples, perform chemical analyses, and interpret test results to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain operating logs and prepare reports required by permits and management.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform maintenance using mechanical and basic electrical skills.
• Communicate system performance to management and operate spotter truck and/or forklift as needed.
• Support groundskeeping, painting, and general housekeeping.
