Pilgrim’s in Mount Pleasant, Texas, is seeking a dedicated Wastewater Operator for a full-time, on-site role with a rotation schedule and after-hours callouts as required. You will operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure regulatory compliance and protect public health and the environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing and outdoor work.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn wastewater processes.
• Ability to wear a respirator and operate PIT and Yard Truck.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment equipment.
• Inspect plant processes and equipment for proper function.
• Collect and analyze wastewater samples and record data.
• Adjust chemical feeds, flows, and processes as needed.
• Maintain logs, reports, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues; perform minor repairs.
• Assist with preventive maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in training.
• Respond to emergency call-outs or after-hours situations.
