Job summary

Woodard & Curran in Cohasset, MA is seeking a Massachusetts Grade III Wastewater Operator to join our Operations & Maintenance team at the Cohasset Wastewater Treatment Facility. This full-time role focuses on safe, compliant operation and maintenance of a 0.45 MGD MBR facility.

The ideal candidate has a MA Grade III license, 2+ years of experience, a high school diploma or trade school certification, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Grade III Wastewater Operator License.
• At least two years of wastewater treatment operations and maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or trade school certification.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes, laboratory procedures, recordkeeping, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily plant inspections and operational rounds.
• Monitor treatment processes and perform process control adjustments.
• Collect samples and perform laboratory testing and analysis.
• Maintain accurate operational records and reports.
• Assist with sludge thickening operations.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Support facility, grounds, and collection system maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Respond to operational issues and emergency situations as needed.
