Job summary

The Stover Group is hiring an Operations Specialist to operate and maintain wastewater facilities at the Mt Crawford site. This in-person role features a 12-hour day shift with guaranteed overtime and a unique schedule of 3 days one week and 4 days the next, so you can balance personal time with demanding responsibilities.

You will inspect equipment, perform routine tests, and support facility maintenance while ensuring safe operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or six months related experience.
• Mechanical knowledge of equipment, tools, and maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of H2S safety.
• Ability to perform basic math and apply it to work.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions with good judgement.
• Attention to detail and reliable work habits.
• Good communication and ability to support team members.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment and lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Use common hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, grease guns, and pipe wrenches.
• Inspect equipment and monitor operating conditions to prevent downtime.
• Maintain clean work areas, tools, and facilities.
• Perform routine minimum control tests.
• Assist with facility maintenance tasks.
• Keep accurate operator logs and report shift data.
• Communicate essential information at shift changes.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Description:

Operations Specialist performs daily tasks to operate and maintain wastewater facilities and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Use common hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, grease guns, and pipe wrenches
• Inspect equipment and monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges to prevent equipment downtime or process upsets
• Maintain clean work area(s), hand and power tools, equipment, and facilities
• Perform routine minimum control tests
• Assist with facility maintenance
• Perform general housekeeping and cleaning of all related facilities
• Maintain working relationship with all employees
• Communicate all pertinent data and information relative to daily operations in operator logbooks and at shift change
• Perform other duties as required
• Perform required tasks in a timely manner

Qualifications: Qualifications

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or six months related experience and/or a combination of education and experience

• Mechanical knowledge of equipment and tools including their use, service requirements, repair procedures, and maintenance
