Inframark LLC is seeking a Wastewater Operator I to operate and maintain equipment in wastewater treatment facilities in Edmond, Oklahoma. You will conduct testing, monitor processes, document performance and respond to after-hours emergencies.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, willingness to obtain water/wastewater certification, and flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and on-call. CDL preferred; on-site work with safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Willing to work all shifts, including weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

  • Operates equipment including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment.
  • Performs routine testing, monitoring and basic laboratory analyses.
  • Documents treatment process performance and chemical usage.
  • Responds to callouts and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment.
  • Maintains clean, neat and secure facilities.
  • Provides customer service when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to training schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00–3:30 for up to 2 months, then Wed–Sat 7:00–5:30; willing to work all shifts.

Job description

JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE

The Wastewater Operator I is responsible for operation and maintenance of equipment in wastewater treatment facilities.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Operates a variety of equipment/machinery including: valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, vehicles, etc.

  • Conducts routine testing, monitoring and maintenance of production wells, water/wastewater unit processes and basic laboratory analyses.

  • Performs and documents treatment process and maintenance of treatment facility equipment. Documents plant performance including daily flow, electrical and chemical usage and dosage.

  • Responds to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, instrumentation and electrical support.

  • Ensures facilities are clean, neat and secure.

  • Provides customer service functions when necessary.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, for up to two months or when training is complete. Once training is complete, the regular schedule will be Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00am - 5:30am. Also, willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evening and 24-hour emergency on call.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Display a willingness, aptitude and self-discipline to study the required material and meet all prerequisites to obtain water or wastewater certification.

  • Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices.

  • The ability to successfully perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs of treatment equipment is essential.

  • Knowledge of regulatory rules is essential.

  • Previous water or wastewater treatment experience is desirable.

  • Completion of water or wastewater correspondence courses is very desirable.

  • Willing to work all shifts including: weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on call.


Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED.


Licenses/Certifications:

Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred). Water/Wastewater Operator's License specific to state and site-specific requirements must be obtained within 1 year of hire day but not required upon hire. Other licenses may vary according to specific site and assignments.


Technical:

Ability to follow manual & operating instructions. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet. Basic knowledge of water/wastewater operations.

Communicates clearly & professionally. Contributes to a positive internal & external customer experience. Willing to help others. Maintains composure in challenging situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
