Job summary

The Probst Group LLC is seeking a Wastewater Operator in Wisconsin to support the operation and maintenance of industrial wastewater treatment systems. You will collect samples, monitor processes, operate equipment, perform basic lab tasks, and assist with preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities include managing data in CMMS, handling chemicals safely, and cooperating with on-call rotations. A high school diploma is required, with on-call availability and a valid driver’s license expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to respond within 30 minutes when on call.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Collect wastewater samples for process monitoring and compliance.
• Operate equipment, read gauges, meters, and record data.
• Perform fundamental basic laboratory tasks.
• Assist with maintenance, repairs, and tasks as needed.
• Utilize MaintainX CMMS for task management.
• Safely handle chemicals and adjust dosing per supervisor direction.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility, complete documentation and checklists.
• Utilize the SCADA system and make basic adjustments.
• Participate in On-Call rotations after hours and on weekends as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

About The Probst Group

The Wastewater Operator will support customers and the organization in operating industrial wastewater treatment systems. The Wastewater Operator plays a vital role in the facility's day-to-day operations and preventive maintenance. In addition to job-related tasks as assigned by management, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Key Responsibilities for the Wastewater Operator - 1

• Collect wastewater samples for process monitoring and compliance requirements
• Operate equipment, read gauges, meters, and record data
• Perform fundamental basic laboratory tasks
• Assist with maintenance, repairs, and tasks as needed
• Effectively utilize the MaintainX Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for task management
• Safely handle chemicals and adjust dosing per supervisor direction
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility, complete documentation, complete checklists, and escalade concerns as needed
• Utilize the SCADA system and make fundamental adjustments
• Participate in On-Call rotations after hours and on weekends with support from management as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Travel Expectations:

Travel is not anticipated, but may be required periodically

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to respond within 30 minutes when on call
• Valid driver’s license
• Good problem-solving, communication, and troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in wastewater
• Previous experience in maintaining industrial equipment
• Previous experience operating skid steer and forklift
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
• Hands-on experience with blowers, pumps, motors, and actuated valves, among others
• Ability to obtain Operator Certifications as specified by the local state requirements
