Job summary

George’s Inc. is seeking a Wastewater Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations of the wastewater treatment facility in Springdale, AR. This role includes supervising staff, maintaining the facility, and ensuring compliance with EPA regulations and local/state agencies.

Daily tasks involve sampling, reporting, safety, and audits. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of relevant wastewater experience or a related bachelor’s degree, plus strong communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in wastewater operations in progressively responsible positions OR Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Ability to demonstrate proper working knowledge of biological wastewater treatment systems.
• Basic computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Preferred: Poultry production or manufacturing experience.
• Vocational/Technical Certification and/or Licensure.
• Previous Leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of wastewater function in the plant.
• Maintain working relationship with state and local agencies for wastewater treatment.
• Conduct tests as required to ensure proper water treatment.
• Train personnel in best practices to stay compliant with city and state regulations.
• Develop and grow the department staff; ensure back-ups for key positions.
• Keep accurate records and up-to-date documentation for reporting.
• Submit required paperwork to local agencies monthly.
• Gather and submit water samples per EPA regulations.
• Ensure safety rules and requirements are followed.
• Supervise cleaning and maintenance of wastewater.
• Participate in third-party and regulatory audits of the wastewater facility.
