Responsibilities

• Perform morning and evening operational checks for flow, chemical feed, pH, temperature, residual chlorine, and other checks.
• Learn and utilize SOPs to perform process control lab testing for state/local requirements.
• Inventory, mix, fill and maintain chemicals and flow readings.
• Monitor pH levels at storage tanks and discharge.
• Perform minor mechanical maintenance including preventive maintenance.
• Collect samples, conduct laboratory testing, and analyze data to operate the plant.
• Record and interpret meter readings, adjust influent flow, log discharge, and maintain operating logs.
• Assist other operations personnel to maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Observe and assist other wastewater technicians to gain knowledge.
