Job summary

Pacific Coast Producers in The Dalles, OR, seeks a Wastewater Supervisor to lead daily wastewater treatment operations. You will supervise union operators, oversee maintenance, conduct lab testing, and ensure compliance with DEQ, EPA, and NPDES standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in wastewater operations, strong leadership, and a hands-on mechanical aptitude, with knowledge of wastewater chemistry and microbiology.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and 3+ years of wastewater operations experience.
• Knowledge of chemistry and microbiology techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for machinery and processes.
• Knowledge of hygiene standards/protocol for food safety.
• Must demonstrate good leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wastewater treatment operations to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Supervise, train and develop wastewater operators.
• Maintain DEQ/EPA guidelines within the Clean Water Act and control odors.
• Conduct daily lab testing and manage outsourced testing for DEQ requirements.
• Complete monthly DEQ forms and assist the WW Manager with end-of-year reports.
• Oversee solids removal systems and pond operations for permit compliance.
• Manage chemical inventories and monitor safety rules.
