Job summary

City of Norfolk, VA is seeking a Crew Leader I in the Wastewater Division to lead a crew of maintenance workers and equipment operators in construction, maintenance and repair of the wastewater system.

The role requires prior supervisory experience in maintenance and a valid driver's license; CDL may be required depending on assignment. Daily duties include safety instruction, reporting, and coordinating crew transport to sites.

Qualifications

• Two years supervisory experience in a maintenance role highly preferred.
• Valid drivers license required; CDL may be required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and leads a crew in installation, repair and maintenance of the wastewater collection system.
• Maintains time, equipment and materials for reports.
• Instructs crew on safety standards and work expectations.
• Transports crew to work sites.
• Operates a standard transmission vehicle when needed.
