City of Norfolk is seeking a Crew Leader I for the Wastewater Division to lead a dedicated crew of maintenance workers, equipment operators, and other staff. You will oversee construction, maintenance, and repair tasks, investigate issues, and generate maintenance reports for efficiency planning.

The role requires knowledge of sewer components, hands-on leadership, and the ability to manage safety standards while coordinating site transport and daily activities.

Qualifications

• Two years supervisory experience in a maintenance role preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitary sewer components and system layouts.
• Ability to coordinate crew safety and daily work orders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a maintenance crew performing construction, maintenance, and repair of the wastewater system.
• Investigate and resolve complaints and prepare maintenance reports.
• Schedule, transport, and guide crew to job sites; ensure safety and efficiency.
