The City of Hendersonville is hiring a Wastewater Treatment Plant Laboratory Technician to perform routine laboratory analyses of wastewater and related samples. The role supports NPDES reporting, plant operation assessment, and process optimization.

Responsibilities include quality control, data entry, and maintaining lab records, with opportunities to advance through the technician ladder and assist Treatment Operators as needed.

Formación

• Knowledge of modern laboratory techniques and equipment used in wastewater analysis.
• Understanding analytical chemistry principles and testing methods.
• Ability to prepare reagents and maintain records.
• Ability to collect samples and interpret test results.
• Comply with lab certification and QA/QC standards.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine laboratory tests on wastewater samples and by-products.
• Maintain accurate records and quality control for reporting requirements.
• Inspect inventory and prepare reagents, solutions, and lab supplies.
• Collect samples at source and interpret results for plant operations.
• Assist in ensuring efficient plant operations and compliance with regulations.
