Job summary

Collier County seeks a skilled electrical professional to program and maintain electrical controls, instrumentation, and equipment across wastewater treatment plants and related facilities.

You will install, calibrate, repair instrumentation, and operate telemetry systems to monitor lift stations, troubleshoot issues, and generate reports. A valid Florida driver’s license is required, with a Class C Wastewater license to be obtained within 18 months.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Three (3) years of related experience.
  • Fingerprinting required.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with county vehicle endorsement.
  • Must obtain and maintain Class C Wastewater license within 18 months.

Responsibilities

  • Program and maintain electrical controls, instrumentation, and equipment at wastewater facilities.
  • Install, program, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and electronic equipment.
  • Operate telemetry computer to monitor lift stations and troubleshoot issues.
  • Review and inspect electrical projects for compliance and safety.
  • Coordinate with supervisor, engineers, contractors, and utility vendors.
